The planets

We had so much fun learning about planets!
We did a minibooks, a song and a hopscotch on the playground. We all know now the order and names of the planets, and it's incredible to see how many things we can say about planets in English.

picture dictation

To practice the prepositions in, on and under, we dictated sentences to our partners for them to draw and viceversa. Some were really funny! We did a very good job speaking in English and we could read and show our sentences  to the rest of the class.

X-rays

Thanks to Diego 's X-rays we could see how someone the bones we have studied really look like.

Bones

To have a better idea about what bones look like Celia brought some models and she explain them to the class.
We continued singing the song to learn about bones and joints.
Here are the lyrics in case you want to teach mum and dad.

My body is a machine to dance and jump and run.
Bones and joints and muscles make me move so fast.
The skull is in my head,
The ribs protect my heart,
The humerus and radius make me stretch my arm,
And the femur and the tibia hold my legs up.
Joints conect two bones,
thanks to my joints I don't walk a robot.

Making a lung

In the science class we talked about how humans breathe and to see how the lungs  work we made one in a bottle.
If you want to make one at home you only need:
A plastic bottle
two baloons
an elastic band
play doh
Instructions
The straw is the tráquea,  the green baloon is the lung, the purple balloon is the  diaphragm and the bottle is the thorax.
Let us know if you try making one!

Introducing myself

We have been practicing a new list of Trinity question and other TV reporters came to interview us. They look very funny with the big glasses and we love using the microphones so we practice a lot to be the next ones on TV!

Halloween

Halloween was back at school one more time. This year we have learnt a treat or trick song and read one of Meg and Mog stories. We have also played some games in the smartboard.

In arts and crafts we made paper plate Jack'o'lanterns and horrible play doh figures. We also learnt a little poem to say all together.

On the actual day we put on our scariest costumes and went to the cinema. It was great to have the opportunity to watch a film all together!
In the afternoon we met our "padrinos lectores" and a group of year 6 children came to our class to represent a funny version of little red riding hood.
It was such a fun day!
